Married Coaches Bernie Campbell and Sara Campbell Duke It Out

GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE SEMIFINALS

Tune in to GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE on NHPBS Saturday, April 28 at 5:30 pm as Merrimack High School takes on Salem High School in the first semifinal game.

The stakes are higher than usual in this week's match up. Not only will the winner of this semifinal game go on to play in the final, but the two team's coaches, Sara and Bernie Campbell are married. The high school sweethearts began dating their junior year while competing together on Salem high school's GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE team. Who will win bragging rights in this marital showdown?

Playing for the Merrimack Tomahawks are captain Scott Peyton, Alex Jobin, Nick Marcus, Eric Hilton, and alternates Sophie Kim and Nick Gacharna. The Tomahawks are coached by Sara Campbell. The Salem Blue Devils are represented by captain Tony Consentino, Aidan Gallo, Jonathan Tarness, Alexis Ahern, and alternates Ricky Jeffreys and Madison Emmons. The Blue Devils are coached by Bernie Campbell.

Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE features New Hampshire's top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts—along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.

GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE is funded by lead sponsor Unitil; with additional funding from NEA New Hampshire, Heinemann Publishing, New Hampshire Lottery, D.F. Richard Energy, HRC, Measured Progress, The NHHEAF Network Organization and Super Sunday partner, Manchester Community College.
